Welcome to Yoga Freely Committed to making you healthy, happy and complete
Yoga is an ancient science of human development that has existed for millenia. It provides techniques to unify the 3 aspects of our being - body, mind and spirit. Yoga postures and breathing exercises effectively develop strength, flexibility, coordination and balance, which in turn improve general health, well-being and vitality. As the body becomes strong and healthy, the mind becomes quiet and calm, allowing us to experience deep inner peace. With a healthy body and peaceful mind, we become more aware of our true nature; we start to see the connection between ourselves and the entire universe and we become more open to the spiritual dimension. This all develops gradually with a regular practise over time, and it's best to start with something tangible - the body and the breath.
I teach group and private yoga classes, workshops and retreats in the Geneva-Nyon area. A variety of yoga styles are offered and all yoga postures can be modified to suit the individual student. For guidance on the best class to begin with please contact me by email or phone.
Private and corporate yoga classes & workshops can also be organised on request.
Yoga is about conscious evolution; by paying close attention to our breathing, movements and thoughts we learn to be fully in the present moment. We no longer dream of the past or the future and learn to be with what is going on RIGHT HERE AND NOW. Being fully present allows us to really experience every moment that life offers us. We are thus liberated and able to live to our full potential.
There are many different styles of yoga available today, and all the options on offer can be confusing. You may need to sample several different styles and teachers until you find the one that suits you best. Your needs will also change as your practise evolves over time, and a style that you enjoyed 5 or 10 years ago, or just a few months ago (or yesterday!), may not suit you today.
Yoga is a path, not a destination. You never "get" anywhere because the path is the goal. You have the rest of your life to practise - so relax, keep an open heart and a receptive mind, relax and enjoy the journey...
